Following two months of elaborate design and manufacturing, the custom CHT52D production line for an Egyptian customer is nearly finished.
Designed for compounding and pelletizing of engineering plastics, the line adopts cost-effective and durable button controls suited to the client’s operating environment, paired with heavy-duty ABB inverters covered by global warranty, delivering outstanding cost performance. All other components comply with COWIN’s specifications for high-torque extruders.
The extrusion system features HIP-process wear-resistant barrels and screw elements, core shafts made of European imported material WR15E, and full cast copper heaters.
The drive system is equipped with COWIN high-torque gearboxes rated at 14 Nm/cm3 (backed by a three-year trouble-free warranty), together with R+W torque-limiting couplings (safety coupling) to deliver more safety guarantee for high-torque twin-screw extruder.
The extruder base is clad with 304 stainless steel. The barrel is fitted with a three-layer insulated stainless steel cover to minimize energy loss.
Control pushbuttons mounted on the die head deliver convenient operation. A four-hinge quick-opening die with a short flow channel, specially developed for engineering plastics, enables easy cleaning and maintenance.
The water-cooled strand pelletizing system is fitted with a silent Automatik gantry pelletizer featuring long-service-life cutters.
