COWIN has developed the CHT-16D high-torque twin screw extruder specifically for advanced laboratory applications, R&D trials, and high-value material testing. The machine is widely used for polymer compounding, material modification, and small-batch pelletizing applications.

The CHT-16D laboratory twin screw extruder adopts a newly designed high-torque gearbox system, significantly improving transmission efficiency and operational reliability. With a torque density reaching 14 Nm/cm³, the machine fills a gap in the domestic market for small-size high-torque twin screw extruders.

The barrel features a split-type clamshell design, allowing quick opening for easier screw and barrel cleaning. This structure is particularly suitable for laboratory environments where formulations and materials need to be changed frequently.

To meet the demanding requirements of compact high-torque twin screw extrusion systems, the CHT-16D uses imported shaft materials to provide reliable torque support for the screw system, improving long-term operational stability and durability.
As a laboratory-scale twin screw extruder, the CHT-16D is especially suitable for expensive materials and small-sample experiments. Only 50–100 g of material is required per test to complete mixing, compounding, and pelletizing processes, helping significantly reduce material consumption during the R&D stage.
The main motor power ranges from 1.1 to 3 kW, while the control system can be configured with either standard push-button controls or a Siemens PLC control system, meeting different laboratory requirements for operation and automation.
The entire machine adopts a compact tabletop design with a small footprint and clean appearance, making it ideal for universities, research institutes, corporate R&D centers, and high-performance material laboratories.
As a professional manufacturer of twin screw extruders, laboratory extruders, and plastic pelletizing equipment, COWIN continues to provide stable and efficient laboratory extrusion solutions to customers worldwide.
