Extensive heat and mass transfer, narrow residence time distribution, large surface to volume ratio, continuous operation. Ideal for high viscosity, high temperature reaction systems.

Continuous polymerization or reactive extrusion like dynamic vulcanization, crosslinking, grafting, and chain extension of PUR, PA, POM, PEI, PC, PMMA, PBT, PPS, etc.

The underwater pelletizing system for extruders is a key equipment in polymer processing (e.g., plastics, rubber). It works by cooling molten materials extruded from the die head in water and cutting them into uniform pellets simultaneously. The overall structure can be divided into the core cutting unit, the cooling circulation unit, the particle separation and drying unit, and the auxiliary control unit. All parts work in coordination to achieve continuous production.

Structure: Consists of four main parts:

Core cutting unit: Die head (with heating function) and underwater pelletizer (sharp blades driven by a motor, with precise gap control).
Cooling circulation unit: Cutting chamber (filled with temperature-controlled water), piping system, and water circulation system (including pump, tank, heat exchanger, and filter).
Separation and drying unit: Centrifugal dehydrator (used to separate pellets from water).
Control unit: PLC-based system for monitoring and adjusting parameters such as cutter speed and water temperature.

Structure：

Conveying and Cooling Unit: Molten strands are extruded into a water-flushing cooling trough for rapid cooling and shaping.The inclined design uses water flow for both “cooling” そして “traction”, ensuring the strands solidify evenly without deformation or sticking.

Anti-sticking knife design: The knife surface is specially coated to prevent wet strands from sticking, effectively avoiding defects such as stringing or tailing.

Separation and Drying Unit: Wet pellets are separated and dried in a centrifugal dryer, which quickly removes surface moisture, reduces water content, and ensures the pellets are ready for further processing.
