The lab cast film production line produces high-quality plastic films with excellent thickness uniformity, smooth surfaces, and good transparency. Via extrusion, casting, cooling, stretching, and winding processes, it delivers reliable films for packaging, electronics, construction, and agricultural applications, ensuring precise control over film properties in laboratory-scale production.
A plastic film produced via a specific manufacturing process, with key details as follows:
1, Extrusion & Melting
Polymer raw materials are fed into an extruder, heated to melt and plasticize into a fluid melt.
2, Casting & Forming
The molten polymer is evenly extruded through a T-die to form a continuous flat film, which spreads onto a cooling roller.
3, Cooling & Setting
The film contacts the cooling roller tightly, rapidly solidifying and setting via the roller’s cooling.
4, Traction & Stretching
After leaving the cooling roller, the film is stretched and flattened by traction devices to enhance performance.
5, Winding
The processed film is wound into large rolls by a winder for storage, transport, and further processing.
1, High thickness uniformity across the width.
2, Smooth, defect-free surface.
3, Good transparency due to rapid cooling.
4, Balanced mechanical properties in longitudinal and transverse directions.
5, Excellent heat-sealing performance.
1, Packaging (food, pharmaceuticals, daily goods).
2, Electronics (protective films, insulation layers).
3, Construction (waterproof packaging, waterproof membranes).
4, Agriculture (greenhouse films, crop covers).
1, 압출기 (melts raw materials)
Heats and melts polymer raw materials, then extrudes them to provide a stable melt flow.
2, T-Die (shapes the film)
Ensures the melt flows out uniformly to form a flat film. It is a key component for controlling film width and thickness uniformity.
3, Cooling Roller (cools and sets the film)
Typically a chrome-plated metal roller with excellent thermal conductivity, rapidly cools the melt to solidify the film.
4, Traction Unit (controls speed and tension)
Comprising traction rollers and guide rollers, it pulls the film, controls its running speed and tension, and performs stretching and flattening.
5, Winder (winds the film into rolls)
Rolls the processed film into large coils for storage and transportation. Tension and speed must be precisely controlled during winding to ensure coil quality.
