The twin screw volumetric feeder ensures precise, continuous, and stable material delivery through a combination of active agitation, intermeshing screw conveying, and speed-controlled metering. Designed for high-accuracy feeding, it handles a wide range of materials—including powders, granules, and cohesive substances—with metering accuracy up to ±0.5%. Its robust structure and anti-bridging design make it ideal for 24/7 operation in precision compounding and extrusion applications.
Material Pre-processing
The agitator inside the hopper breaks bridging, enabling the material to flow continuously into the twin-screw chamber.
Screw Conveying
The intermeshing twin screws rotate, and the screw flight push the material forward. The shear forces within the intermeshing gaps further disperse the material.
Metering Control
By adjusting the screw speed, the material feed rate per unit time is precisely controlled (screw speed is linearly related to feed rate, and with sensors, metering accuracy within ±0.5% can be achieved).
Continuous Output
The material is steadily discharged through the outlet into the downstream extruder, meeting the requirements for continuous production.
High Metering Accuracy
The twin screws intermesh tightly, eliminating material backflow and offering strong speed controllability. Compared to single-screw feeders, metering error is smaller. Suitable for high-precision compounding applications.
Strong Material Adaptability
Capable of handling powders, granules, and viscous materials, even ultra-fine powders prone to bridging. Employs “agitation + twin-screw forced conveying” to overcome flow obstacles.
Continuous and Stable Feeding
The design prevents material interruption and clogging. Suitable for 24-hour continuous production. Enhances production line stability.
