In the past, the barrel of the twin-screw extruder is integral and cannot be opened. The split type twin-screw extruder is a split type, which is composed of two halves of the barrel, the lower half of the barrel is fixed on the frame, the upper half of the barrel is connected to the lower half of the barrel by worm gear reducer. Usually, the upper half of the barrel and the lower half of the barrel is bolted by two rows of bolts. When it is necessary to open the barrel, only loosen the bolts and turn the handle of the worm box to open the barrel.
