Recently, our company delivered an extrusion production line for TPU reaction to a customer and installed it in their laboratory. It is used for experimental formula and process testing, and can also be used for small-scale production.
The specific process is as follows:
Raw material metering system → high-speed mixing head → (additives side feeding system) → twin-screw extruder → discharge valve → melt pump → double-plunger continuous screen changer → melt pump → diverter valve → underwater pelletizing system
The production line consists of the raw material metering system, the CHT35D twin screw extruder and the UW100 underwater pelletizing system. Among them, the raw material metering system is provided by a professional supporting manufacturer of Cowin.
The CHT35D uses our company’s high-torque gearbox. The extruder’s length-to-diameter ratio (L/D) is 68:1, and the motor power is 37KW. It also adopts a two-stage high-speed side feeder, which is used for users to selectively add various additives.
The pelletizing system uses the UW100 underwater pelletizing from our company, equipped with a 100-meter spiral tube and a 20HP chiller to ensure that the TPU particles are cooled in time.
At present, the customer’s equipment has been accepted and put into production use.
