Recently, the custom CHT40D high-torque co-rotating twin-screw extruder from COWIN has successfully passed all factory tests and will soon be shipped to Russia.
This machine is tailor-made for the filling and compounding process of nano-materials, with an L/D ratio of 56. The core screws and barrels are made of WR5 high wear-resistant material treated by HIP hot isostatic pressing, featuring excellent wear and corrosion resistance for ultra-fine powder working conditions. Equipped with an Innomotics main motor with an IP65 protection class, the extruder adopts multiple loss-in-weight feeders to realize precise metering.
To address the pain points of nano-scale ultra-fine powders, such as easy agglomeration and difficult conveying, two sets of high-speed single-stage side forced feeding systems are configured. Combined with specially designed side-feeding screws and barrels, stable and efficient conveying of nano powders is guaranteed.
The overall appearance inherits COWIN’s mature design. The base surface is made of stainless steel with a fully enclosed protective housing.
The quick-open hinged die head facilitates routine cleaning and regular screen replacement. Matched with an Aoma dual-variable speed strand pelletizer, it simplifies strand processing operations. The length and fineness of finished pellets can be freely adjusted to meet the customer’s production requirements for nano-modified materials.
