After two and a half months of intensive and well-organized production, the CHT20D laboratory high torque twin-screw extrusion water-cooled strand pelletizing line ordered by our European customer has passed all pre-delivery inspections. Every item, from the overall machine appearance to each core component, has been tested item by item in accordance with the customer’s trial-run requirements.
Designed mainly for R&D of engineering plastics in laboratories, this machine is equipped with multiple loss-in-weight feeding systems. Two high-speed side feeders are configured for feeding mineral powder and short fibers (CF or GF). It adopts a 7.5 kW Innomotics motor, with the gearbox delivering a design torque of 14NM/CM3. Control is realized via Siemens S7-series PLC and a large-size Siemens touchscreen.
The complete production line is engineered in strict compliance with CE standards and carries COWIN’s consistent design philosophy. The machine features a wheeled mobile structure. All product-contact surfaces of the base frame are clad with 304 stainless steel. The barrel is fitted with multi-layer stainless steel insulation covers. For high-temperature specialty engineering plastics, the 45 mm-thick heaters ensure stable long-term high-temperature operation up to 420°C. Screw shafts are made of European imported material with high strength and toughness. Electrical components are sourced from top international brands with global warranty support.
